Basement finishing and waterproofing in Berlin, MD

DryZone was called to service a home in Berlin, MD. The home's basement was flooded with over 6 inches of water.

Once we had arrived we were able to drain the water out of the basement and get to work. First, we drained all the water out of the basement. Second, we made a trench along the four walls of the basement. After building the trench, we placed the WaterGuard drainage pipe along the footing, which many would know as a French drain. Unlike old-fashioned drain tile systems installed on the outside of the home, WaterGuard® is installed just underneath the perimeter edge of the basement floor.

After the WaterGuard is securely placed in between the concrete floor and wall, it is easily tied into to the sump pump system. Once the water is collected, the water is discharged out and away from the house. Once our installation crew members install the drain under the basement floor, we'll restore the removed portion of the slab with fresh concrete. Hidden under a fresh layer of concrete, the drain won't take the attention off of your beautiful new basement.

The WaterGuard system is an award-winning, patented french drain that is a popular solution for keeping basements dry. The system is installed quickly and with minimal removal of the slab. It is installed above the 'mud' zone, on top of the foundation footing so that it won't clog. The system will keep your basement clean and dry so you can use the space for storage or to finish it for additional living space.
