Crawlspace Cleanup in Milton De

One of our crews from DryZone came out to cleanup this crawlspace by firstly installing a TripleSafe sump pump to pump unwanted water out of the crawlspace as well as an IceGuard to ensure that there will be no problem with freezing during the winter. Then Clean space was installed in order to reduce the amount of moisture in the air preventing the growth of mold within it. The vents where also sealed in order to prevent hot and cold air entering the crawlspace which if allowed to continue would increase you heating and cooling bills.

Egress and Sump Pump Replacement Milton, DE

This homeowner just had their basement finished and noticed some water coming in from their egress window. Our team went out to inspect the area in which water was entering their home and we determined their egress window needed to be replaced. While removing the current egress window, we installed a Rockwell with a cover.

We also installed a new sump pump, our super sump, where their existing pump was as theirs was very old and needed replacing. Along with that, we added our smart sump battery backup in case the home should lose power, the pump would continue to operate normally.

Installing a French Drain in this Girdletree, MD Basement

A past of flooding made this basement unusable. DryZone waterproofed this basement by adding a french drain around the perimeter of the home and adding a string sump pump to take out the water.

Leaky skylight gets transformed into a safe, secure, and dry egress window

This skylight was installed in a beautiful finished basement to let light into the dark space. The problem was that it leaked a lot during rain storms. Eventually the entire basement started to smell and the homeowner called DryZone for help. A egress window is designed to be multipurpose. It lets a lot of light into a basement and also acts as an emergency fire escape. DryZone has installed many egress windows and the crews know just how to get that snug fit to avoid leaks.

Repairing a Cracked Wall & Extending a Downspout Harbeson, DE

The homeowner noticed some water on the floor near and around their closet. Having water enter your home through walls is never a good thing so we made sure to inspect the area to ensure a permanent fix. After taking a look through a minor cut in the dry wall, we noticed the crack ran both north and south. Because of this, we had to cut out a any drywall that was in the path.

Once all of the drywall was cut back, we used FlexiSpan to fill and seal the crack. FlexiSpan is a three-part process that begins with the application of a flexible sealant along the full length of the crack. Next, a strip of flexible and porous foam is installed over the crack.

Finally, an impermeable membrane is adhered to the wall on both sides of the foam strip. This fail-safe treatment allows any future seepage of water through the crack to move invisibly down the wall and into the basement’s perimeter drainage system.

As for the downspout, we needed to extend it to ensure that water would be sent further away from the home and the foundation. We were able to do this with roughly 10ft of pipe and a LawnScape outlet.
