Basement Waterproofing Before & After Photos

Every heavy rainstorm brought leaks through the foundation cracks in this basement. With DryZone, the basement walls are covered in CleanSpace, leading moisture down into a drainage system that was properly routed around the oil tank located in the basement. 

A flooding basement in Rehoboth Beach, DE started to become a home for microbial growth. After being unable to store anything in the basement for so long, this family decided they needed to make a change. DryZone waterproofed the basement with a CleanSpace wall system and trench drain leading to a TripleSafe sump pump. 

These pictures aren't exactly "before & after" but more like middle and end. They shows how the WaterGuard basement perimeter drainage system is installed. This system is a subfloor system that rests on top of the concrete footing, rather than in the dirt next to it. Many other waterprooofing systems used by other companies will put a pipe about a foot away from the wall and in the dirt next to the footer. One thing to keep in mind is that the footer is what holds up the wall. If water is moving around in a pipe next to it, the dirt could easily get moved as well. That could weaken the structure of the wall, causing it to sink or crack. WaterGuard avoids all of that by essentially making the pipe a part of the floor. It is out of the dirt for another reason, less chance of clogging.

This partially finished basement unfortunately needed a waterproofing fix so that it wouldn't be fully ruined! With our Waterguard system, a TripleSafe Sump pump and a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier, this space's issues with water won't affect the basement any longer!

One thing was sure about this basement: the open sump pump was definitely not helping keep it dry! With a call to DryZone, we installed a TripleSafe sump pump and a Waterguard system to ensure basement flooding won't happen like this again!
