Tired of your metal door not staying in place? Replacing it with a Turtl will make all of your problems go away!
This crawl space door was old, rusty and definitely not energy efficient.
An EverLast crawl space door is made out of a durable plastic so it will never rust, warp or leak. Additionally, EverLast door will create an air-tight, waterproof seal between the crawl space and the humid or cold air outside. This homeowner also had a well that was cleaned and filled with a bed of gravel which will help with drainage and flooding.
This crawl space had a tight and narrow entrance. Team DryZone made access to this crawl space much easier by enlarging the entry and installing an EverLast Well Crawl Space Entrance. This will give access while still protecting the crawl space from the elements.
This homeowner had a crawl space door that leaked and did not fit properly. A new Everlast plastic door is made from knobs screwed into anchors in the wall providing a snug fit with additional weather-stripping to seal off outside air.
George noticed musty odors and standing water in his crawlspace and knew it could lead to bigger problems if left untreated. Wanting to protect his home, he contacted the trusted experts at DryZone to schedule a free estimate. Our System Design Specialist, Derek, conducted a thorough inspection and reviewed his findings with George.
The first step in this crawlspace encapsulation project was removing the standing water to create a dry, workable space for installation. Key components of the system included CleanSpace, Drainage Matting, HydroLink, SmartSump, and a SaniDry Sedona. HydroLink was installed around the perimeter to direct water to the SmartSump, while the SmartSump’s liner and lid are designed to create a tight seal with the CleanSpace liner for a more effective system.
During the inspection, the humidity in the crawlspace was measured at over 70%, well above the recommended 55% benchmark. That level of moisture can contribute to musty odors, microbial growth, and other issues in the home. The SaniDry Sedona will play an important role in controlling that moisture, with the capacity to remove up to 100 pints of water per day and move more than 300 cubic feet of dry air per minute throughout the crawlspace or basement.
Thanks to these solutions, George can now enjoy peace of mind knowing his home is better protected for years to come. DryZone is proud to provide lasting solutions that help protect homes across Delmarva.
