A homeowner in Rehoboth Beach, DE, was dealing with high humidity levels and growing concerns about the potential damage it could cause. After doing some research, they contacted the experts at DryZone to schedule a free inspection.    Our System Design Specialist, Tom, conducted a thorough inspection and confirmed that the humidity level was over 75%, well above the recommended benchmark of 55%.   To address the issue, we installed CleanSpace and a SaniDry Sedona. This home in Millville, DE had a few cracks underneath their home that needed attention! With the help of us, we were able to seal the cracks with FlexiSpan, which seals the cracks and provides a built-in secondary repair strategy in case the seal fails.  Now, these wall cracks are sealed and if any water ever gets past the seal, it drains down into the drywell! 

When the homeowner of this porch in Ocean View bought their home they noticed the home had a very dangerous tripping hazard. The concrete slab making the front porch of the home dropped just over 1 inch. When the current homeowner talked with the pervious homeowner he said that the slab sank just about a year after it was constructed. In the three years since the current homeowner has had the property, he didn’t notice it sinking it anymore. However, he was still worried about it being a tripping hazard. DryZone’s recommendation is to inject PolyLevel foam under the slab to lift and raise. This will create a long term solution the homeowners problem without ripping up the slab and relaying the concrete. The results are amazing, and now no more worrying about guest tripping over the lip in the porch. 

The concrete sidewalk leading up to this Ocean View, DE home is experiencing issues. Instead of the concrete levels staying the same, there are areas of sinking concrete slab. The homeowners are nervous about their guests walking on this sidewalk because of the dangerous tripping hazards it may cause. DryZone was contacted to lift the sinking concrete slabs with PolyLevel foam. 

This crawl space was in rough shape. Standing water caused a humidity issue that was impacting the home in several ways. The most obvious effect of the water and high humidity was the drooping and degraded insulation which had to be removed. Even more disturbing was the growth of mold along the floor joists. This humidity and mold growth can contribute to illness in the people who live in the home. The project took several days to complete as there were many steps involved: removal of insulation, Mold-X application and the installation of Clean Space and humidifier. Team DryZone came and removed the damaged insulation and floor debris. We also applied Mold-X to the floor joists which removed the stains from the previous mold growth and also helped prevent future mold growth. Clean Space with Drainage Matting and Clean Space Pier Wrap helped prevent underground water seepage. The final touch was a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier which will control humidity going forward. The project took several days to complete as there were many steps involved: removal of insulation, Mold-X application and the installation of Clean Space and humidifier. The result is a beautiful and safe crawl space and happy homeowners!
