Yikes! Wood Moisture Readings
This home in Willards, Maryland had serious moisture issues. You can see from the wood moisture reading that the wood is a feeding ground for mold. Over time the wood will begin to break down from the mold causing wood rot. It is really important to make sure that you are addressing this issues before you have major structural damage.  For this home, it was important to address these issues. We installed a SaniDry Dehumidifier to allow the humid air to be taken out to the crawl space. We also were installed and new sump pump and Cleanspace around the entire crawl space.
Willards Crawl Space
This crawlspace in Willards, Maryland was in rough shape when DryZone was  called to the property. DryZone's inspectors wanted to make sure that this home was going to be moisture and free of mold. You can see in the picture that the crawl space before was scary and dirty. A great environment for mold to grow. Mold spores can travel up to the home. The best way to make sure that this doesn't happen is by taking away everything that mold needs to grow.  By separating the home from the ground and adding a vapor barrier you are eliminating ground water moisture. As well adding a Sump Pump will ensure that the water is able to leave the space. Next is to add a dehumidifier. This will make sure that the air doesn't contain enough moisture to produce mold. This will help the home stay healthy and dry.

Greenbackville, VA Crawl Space
The crawl space in Greenbackville, VA is filled with insulation that is falling apart. There are several reasons why insulation does not stay on the roof of the crawl space. The number one reason is the large amount of humidity in the crawl space. When the moisture in the air becomes too high the insulation can not hold all of it and it begins to fall. As you see on the walls of the crawl space, there are white marks on the wall that looks like chalky powder. This white powder is sometimes confused with mold, but it is not alive. Just mineral residue. It is a sign that water is probably coming through the concrete.
Greenbackville,VA Crawl Space
The crawl space of this Greenbackville, VA home was filled with debris. The homeowners had tried to seal off the crawl space with the plastic sheet on the floor, but its poor design made it very inefficient. Homeowner Praise
This homeowner stopped in to our Big Red Barn to thank us for the work that we did on his basement. "I just can't believe that it could be that amazing and clean down there. For so long we have been dealing with 2-3 inches of water everytime it rains. Things had to be kept off the ground. Not any more! I can't believe how good my basement looks!" Carey Milton - Milton DE
Benefits of BrightWall
This homeowner was looking for a solution to their damp, dark basement. We suggested BrightWall because of the many benefits. Typically in homes we see basements that are painted. The thought is that this would keep the water from enter the space. But all it does is make the paint chip. Adding BrightWall to your basement will guarantee that it won’t come off like paints and sealants. It also directs the water into your WaterGuard or DryTrack System. This creates a clean, dry, space for your basement. Not to mention that the white color of the 3x8 plastic paneling will help to brighten the space, creating an inviting environment. The perfect solution for this homeowner.
PolyLevel Sidewalk Lifting in Milton, DE
In Milton, Delaware, a homeowner by the name of Janet Isaacs contacted DryZone becasue they were concerned with their sinking concrete. This sidewalk was causing tripping hazards because one level of the concrete was not at the same level as the other side of concrete.  Instead of contacting someone to redo the entire sidewalk, Janet contacted DryZone to come up with a different solution. We came to Janet's home to inspect the property and sure enough we saw the sinking sidewalk and knew just the right solution to lift the sinking concrete.  At DryZone, we use a installer called PolyLevel, which is injected into holes in concrete to lift the sinking slab. During the process, our PolyLevel team will make holes smaller than a penny and inject the PolyLevel foam into the hole. This injection causes the sidewlak to rise back to the appropriate level.  Now the homeowner is satisfied with the outcome of the sidewalk and no longer worries about tripping hazards and stubbed toes!
