This Bethany Beach, DE homeowner reached out to the experts at DryZone after a recent home purchase because they found several issues in their crawlspace including hanging insulation and moisture. The experts at DryZone removed debris and insulation then regraded for drainage. To help alleviate the moisture issues in the crawl space we installed CleanSpace on the crawlspace floor. We installed a SandiDry Sedona to ensure the relative humidity stays below 55% so that there is no microbial growth. 

A home in Fenwick Island, Delaware had a major problem. The foundation was actually cracking in a horizontal angle. If the problem was not solved by that day, everyone at DryZone was afraid that this home owner would no longer have a home. We immediately took precaution and action. We had installed Wall Anchors, which are used to form the house back up and keep it that way. What we do is we go about 12 ft away from the home and dig a hole, there we will place the Earth Anchor down after we place in the rod. The rod is placed in the ground outward after we drill a hole in the foundation wall we can then place the anchor itself and tighten it.

SmartVents are great especially if you live in a flood area (like the beaches). If you plan to take out a flood insurance policy some sort of flood vent is now a requirement. SmartVents are great though, because when there isn't a flood they stay closed and keep out humidity. When there is a flood however they open up and let the water in, to relieve pressure off your foundation so it doesn't crack. Then the water can be removed from your crawlspace.
