Crawl Space Repair Photo Album: CrawlSpace Encapsulation in Cambridge, DE
Page had been living in the home since 2013 and had been doing renovation over the time living there and now she was ready to focus on the crawlspace. She had started to notice a musty smell in the home along with some soft spots in the floor. Concerned about these issues getting worse or the possibility of microbial growth Page contacted the trusted experts at DryZone to schedule a free inspection. Our System Design Specialist Tom conducted a thorough inspection and discussed his finding with the homeowner. During the inspection Tom discovered that one of the floor joists needed to be replaced and that why they were feeling soft spots in the floor the humidity in the crawlspace was over 79% well above the reccomended 55% benchmark.
The major components of this crawlspace encapsulation included CleanSpace, DrainageMatting, and a SaniDry Sedona. We also used Mold-X2 which is a highly effective cleaner for contaiminated building surfaces such as wood and masonry. Mold stains are removed in 20 seconds.
There is no doubt that Page can have peace of mind knowing the musty smells and microbial growth are taken care of.
