Crawl Space Repair Photo Album: Crawlspace Encapsulation in Magnolia, DE
Sheila was dealing with high humidity in her crawlspace during the warmer months and had started noticing signs of microbial growth in her home. Concerned about what might be causing the issue, she contacted the trusted experts at DryZone to schedule a free inspection. Our System Design Specialist, Don, conducted a thorough inspection and explained his findings along with the best solution for the space.
To help address the problem, we installed several key components as part of this crawlspace encapsulation, including CleanSpace, DrainageMatting, and a SaniDry Sedona. The SaniDry Sedona will play an important role in controlling the humidity in the crawlspace. It has an impressive capacity of up to 100 pints per day and can move more than 300 cubic feet of dry air per minute throughout the crawlspace or basement.
Now, Sheila can have peace of mind knowing her crawlspace is protected for years to come. DryZone is proud to protect homes across Delmarva.
Existing Liner
The existing liner will be removed from the crawlspace.
Existing Liner
The existing liner in the crawlspace was not functioning as an effective vapor barrier and was still allowing the effects of the earth to impact the home.
Regrade
The existing dirt will be regraded to improve drainage and create a flat surface for the installation of DrainageMatting and CleanSpace.
CleanSpace
CleanSpace is a heavy 20-mil-thick liner designed for puncture resistance, flexibility, and tear resistance. It is also manufactured with an antimicrobial additive called UltraFresh.
SaniDry Sedona
The SaniDry Sedona will play an integral role in keeping the humidity at a manageable level with its impressive 100-pint-per-day capacity and ability to move over 300 cubic feet of dry air per minute throughout the crawlspace or basement.
