One of the biggest concerns was the humidity level in the crawl space, which was over 66%—well above the recommended 55% benchmark. What a lot of homeowners don’t realize is that even though the crawl space is underneath the home, it’s not completely separate from the living space. Humidity and musty odors from below can make their way upstairs and contribute to that damp, uncomfortable feeling inside the home.

For Suzanne’s crawl space, we installed CleanSpace, DrainageMatting, and a SaniDry Sedona. The first step was using CleanSpace to separate the home from the earth and help keep ground moisture from entering the crawl space.

From there, the SaniDry Sedona will help keep the humidity at a manageable level, closer to that 55% benchmark. By getting the moisture under control at the source, Suzanne should notice less of that damp feeling and fewer musty odors throughout her home.
