The homeowners contacted DryZone to encapsulate the crawl space and take away the moisture, mold, and water that was ruining the area. The crawl space in Fishing Creek, MD is causing troubles for the homeowners. They are experiencing musty smells, water damage, and a strong amount of moisture coming from the crawl space. Moisture is a common problem in crawl spaces because the moisture fills up the insulation and it becomes too heavy for the insulation to hold. DryZone removed the falling insulation for the homeowners, encapsulated the crawl space and installed a Turtl. 

No matter what season it was, the crawl space would always flood. To try and help the situation, the homeowner dug trenches to control the water flow into a sump pump. However, the groundwater would come into the crawl space in multiple areas and cause the humidity to rise in rainy seasons. To prevent water from affecting the home and properly guide water to the sump pump, DryZone leveled the ground and installed Drainage matting. this works like gravel in assisting drainage but also has the ability to block out moisture from the crawl space. On top of the drainage matting, DryZone wrapped the crawl space in a 20 mil vapor barrier, sealing the crawl space from the earth's water vapor. 

After living in the home for almost 20 years, this homeowner started to notice a strange smell in his kitchen. The smell was not that noticeable all year, but whenever it rained the smell would grow stronger and stronger. When a visitor came to his home, they pointed out the smell to the homeowner, stating it could be coming from his crawl space. He decided to take a look and discovered some signs of microbial growth attached to his insulation. With the insulation also being wet to the touch, he was worried it would affect his floors over time. DryZone encapsulated this crawl space completely, sealing away the outside air. DryZone was contacted because they noticed the concrete slab that their HVAC units sat on was sinking towards the house. This was causing condensation and rain water to flow towards the house. The homeowners were worried that this might cause foundation issues for their home.  To avoid ripping up the concrete slab and replacing, they wanted to see if there was another option out there. DryZone answered the call and went out to visit the home. We made arrangements for our PolyLevel team to come out and fill and lift the slab. You can see in the pictures the end product of the lifted slab and the filled void.
