Fix it before you list it!

One of the most common problems that our foundation specialists hear from homeowners is that they will just sell the house, because it is too much effort to fix the broken walls or settling floors. I’m here to tell you that its going to end up costing you more time and money (and you might even have to fix it anyway).

DryZone has a great wealth of knowledge in this department, his name is Jason Harman. Jason was a licensed realtor for many years prior to coming to DryZone. He has seen real estate deals fall through at the last minute because of the tiniest things, not to mention major foundation problems. Several years ago, he started a program to partner DryZone with the local realtors. He promotes education and knowledge rather than sales. The goal is to show people that there are ways to fix these common foundation problems that don’t involve taking a huge hit on the cost of buying a home.

Sold!!!The easy way to get the home sold is to reduce the cost of the house by how much the buyer thinks it will cost to fix the problem. The main issue there is that the seller is unhappy because they feel like they are losing out financially for a problem that they have lived with for years. That’s why Jason likes to tell everyone to “fix it, before you list it.” If the problem is fixed, then no red flags should be raised and all parties involved should be able to complete the sale with a smile.

Lastly, keep in mind that DryZone has a policy of huge, nationally backed warranties that are fully transferable. Imagine being able to tell the potential buyer that your foundation has a warranty that won’t expire for years to come. That is a major selling point.
