This portion of the crawlspace was directly connected to a porch on the back of the home, which left the area open to outside air. As a result, cold air was able to enter the crawlspace, leaving this section significantly colder.

In these pictures you can see the open foundation vent is sealed (not just closed). Even when you close a vent, it still leaks air like a sieve. Also you can see the CleanSpace vapor barrier covers the crawlspace walls and floor. DryZone has a policy of leaving the top 4 inches exposed to allow for a termite inspection.
