In Dagsboro, Delaware a home owner called DryZone to come out and inspect their crawl space. When we got to the home, and went down into the crawl space we immediately noticed that the old insulation was falling down. We installed new insulation and placed down a clean and new CleanSpace Liner.  Now the insulation is protected from the wet, damp dirt floor and the crawl space is clean and dry.

A lightweight, 6-mil plastic liner is just not strong enough to seal out moisture and humidity in a damp crawl space. Every wet and nasty crawl space needs a quality vapor barrier to protect the wood, building materials, and insulation. Moisture raises the humidity and that leads to rot and mold much quicker than most people expect. If you have allergies, or notice that you get headaches a lot, the crawl space might be a factor.

A well surrounding a crawl space door is added protection from water and debris entering the crawl space. Additionally, a well will help keep water away from the crawl space door by draining the area.

Metal crawl space doors leak and do not stay in place letting water and debris in, a problem for this homeowner.
