A Not So Fun Pool In Your Crawl Space

A Not So Fun Pool In Your Crawl Space - Image 1

This homeowner knew something was wrong in their crawl space when a musty damp smell was coming into the home and staying there. No matter how much they shampooed their carpets or switched out their scented plug-ins, the scent still lingered. They also noticed an odor when enjoying their back patio which is close to the crawl space door. When they opened the door, they were in for quite a surprise by immediately seeing a pool of water filling the crawl space, making the ground underneath almost invisible!

With a call to DryZone, a Design Specialist came out and evaluated how much damage was in the crawl space and what we could do to control the water, moisture, and overall health of their home. If the homeowner waited much longer, the increased moisture in the crawl space would start softening the wooden floorboards.

DryZone not only installed one, but two TripleSafe sump pumps with battery backups to keep incoming groundwater at bay! A full CleanSpace liner encapsulation and a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier keep the crawlspace controlled and dry. Outside of the crawlspace, we installed 2 discharge lines so if there was any water in the crawlspace, it would be pumped out automatically.

Now this homeowner doesn't have the musty smell inside and can enjoy their patio without worrying about underneath their home!
