Crawl Space in need of CleanSpace in Crisfield, MD

Dirt crawl spaces have a tendency to hold pockets of water. This is especially common when the crawl space is not sealed and wild animals burrow a comfortable bed in the dirt. In rainy seasons, those burrowed beds become ponds. This homeowner noticed puddles forming in the crawl space in multiple spots. Eventually, the thin vapor barrier tore and became wrinkled, inviting more pockets of water. It was time she corrected the issue and had the space leveled and encapsulated to keep unwelcomed guests out for good. DryZone encapsulated this space after filling those small holes scattered in the ground. The thick CleanSpace fully sealed every corner and the piers underneath this Crisfield, DE home.

After noticing the floors felt a little bouncy, this Deal Island, MD homeowner needed a solution to strengthen his floors. After a free no-obligation inspection from DryZone, it was discovered high moisture started to stick to his wooden floor joists. As time passed, the floor absorbed too much water and started to become weak, eventually bowing. The first step to repair was to remove the thin vapor barrier and replace it with strong CleanSpace. Once CleanSpace was installed, a dehumidifier and sump pimp were added as extra security for water vapor. Once the floor was stabilized with SmartJacks, the home was safe and ready for changing seasons.

SmartVents and Encapsulation of Tylerton, MD Crawl Space

This homeowner was in desperate need of a crawl space inspection. His home was right next to the bay and had taken on a lot of water in past storms. The best suggestion for a home in a flood area is SmartVents. SmartVents sense when water is too high and allows water to pass through, releasing hydrostatic pressure from the foundation. After the flood goes down, the vents are closed and the sump pump removes the water from the crawl space.

Little Friends

An open crawlspace can often find itself to be a home for many critters from the little frog seen in this photo to cats. When we encounter one of these critters we make it our priority to make sure they are removed from the crawlspace without harming them. Once the creature is removed from the Crawlspace we will either return it to its owner or find it a new forever home which sometimes will be out team members.
