Crawl Space Repair Case Studies: High water table and heavy rains leads this homeowner to choose the proper crawlspace door

Challenge

The biggest issue that this homeowner faced was how to keep the water from slipping in through his crawlspace door. Like most other homeowners, he thought that the only option for a crawlspace door was the same old sheet metal doors that homes are built with. When a DryZone inspector showed him the Turtl, he was amazed.

Solution

The Turtl is the perfect way to keep water and moist air out of the crawlspace entrance. It is a sturdy two piece unit (lid and main body). Since it doesn't require a traditional door frame, the Turtl can be installed on a home where the blocks are broken and chipped at the entry. It is affixed straight to the foundation and sealed tight so that there are no leaks. In fact the only water that will ever be inside the Turtl is from when people open the lid without wiping it off first.
