Always nice to get an unexpected call from a happy homeowner

A few weeks ago I got a call from a homeowner in Wilmington that I hadn’t seen in a little while. I had designed a playroom for her 2 sons in their basement. I remember thinking at the time how nice it would be for her to let the kids throw their toys all over and let loose in a space that was their very own. I also remember laughing with her as she told me her kids were 19 and 21. She wanted to give them a space to hang out with their friends when they came home from college or work or just for a weekend. What a great mom, right? After a few minutes of catching up, she told me the reason behind her call.

Her sons absolutely loved the room that DryZone built and she told me that they were down there more often then not. She told me that she absolutely loved it due to the fact that she couldn’t hear them carrying on with their friends, no matter how rowdy they got. Before the basement was properly finished, they would go down and watch TV and get a little loud during football and baseball games. But now she could stay upstairs and relax with a nice movie while they yelled their heads off in the basement. She asked me how and why it was such a big difference. The answer is that Total Basement Finishing Everlast Wall Panels are insulated. More than that, the ceiling tiles add insulation and the basement flooring tends to absorb sound as well. I told her that many people have used our basement finishing products to build home theaters for this exact reason. Traditional drywall construction just doesn’t compare when it comes to both sound and heating insulation.

Installing a Total Basement Finishing Ceiling  After a few more minutes of laughing and catching up, we wished each other well and ended the call. I’m glad to hear that she is happy with our company and the finished basement we built her. Nothing brightens my day like a few minutes spent catching up with a happy homeowner and to hear that our work made a difference in their comfort.

As a Total Basement Finishing dealer, DryZone finishes basements in Salisbury, Easton, Wilmington, Dover, New Castle, and many more.
